ASC 2026 offers the opportunity to publish selected, peer-reviewed papers submitted by conference attendees in a special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity<\/em> (TAS), an archival, peer-reviewed, fully indexed and searchable journal published by the IEEE Council on Superconductivity. The publication process allows final manuscripts to be available on IEEE Xplore<\/em> on average as early as 90 days after the conference, and most, if not all, accepted manuscripts will be available for download and citation prior to the scheduled August 2027 release of the entire Special Issue.<\/p>\n

Presentation is a requirement for a submitted manuscript to be considered for peer review. This includes presentations in oral or poster format. The presentation should be given at the appointed time in the program, by the designated author or co-author (presenter).<\/strong> Only manuscripts based on material presented in an oral presentation or on a poster will be considered for publication. For posters, the word \u201cpresented\u201d means that the presenting author must be present during the entire session and available for discussion. Simply posting an enlarged version of the manuscript is not considered as a presentation. The abstract submitter will become the contact author for the manuscript submission. Manuscript submission is not required.<\/p>\n

Manuscript Submission Site Opens
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The manuscript submission site is scheduled to open for submission on Monday, September 16,<\/span> 2026<\/strong>. An email will be sent to the submitting author of the abstract<\/strong> with submission and login information who becomes the corresponding author for the manuscript submission. If another author will be responsible for the submission and peer review process, please submit your request to change the corresponding author via email<\/a><\/strong> no later than Wednesday, September 11<\/span>, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

All corresponding authors must have an ORCID ID<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Presentation is a Requirement for Publication!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Authors presenting at ASC 2026 are not required to submit a manuscript. For authors that choose to submit a manuscript, only subject matter presented at ASC 2026<\/strong>\u00a0will be considered for publication. This includes presentations in oral or poster format. The presentation should be given at the appointed time in the program, by the designated presenter<\/strong>.<\/em> For posters, presentation means that an author is available during the duration of the poster session to discuss the work and answer questions. Posting of the pages of the manuscript does not constitute presentation. Changes to the program, which have been approved by the ASC 2026 Program Committee, will be allowed for submitted manuscripts.<\/p>\n

An abstract accepted for presentation at ASC 2026 may not lead to a published paper in TAS. Authorship<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The IEEE affirms that authorship credit must be reserved for individuals who have met each of the following conditions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Made a significant intellectual contribution to the theoretical development, system or experimental design, prototype development, and\/or the analysis and interpretation of data associated with the work contained in the article;<\/li>\n
  2. Contributed to drafting the article or reviewing and\/or revising it for intellectual content; and<\/li>\n
  3. Approved the final version of the article as accepted for publication, including references.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Author List Changes during Peer Review or after Acceptance<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Once the list and order of authors has been established, the list and order of authors should not be altered without permission of all<\/strong> authors of that article. Change in the author list is considered rare and exceptional, and the decision to allow such changes rests with the Editor. If the author list must be changed during or after peer review, approval from all co-authors (including proposed additions) must be collected by signing <\/span>form found <\/span>here<\/strong><\/a>. The form along with the reason<\/strong> must be emailed to <\/span>pubs@centennialconferences.com<\/a><\/strong> for editor approval. Please be sure to include your manuscript tracking ID.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Manuscript Changes After Acceptance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Final file submissions must match the accepted manuscript. Changes made at this stage are deemed to be a retraction by IEEE and are not generally allowed. If changes must be made after manuscript acceptance, please send your request to pubs@centennialconferences.com<\/a><\/strong> for consideration by the Editor BEFORE <\/strong>uploading your final files. Please be sure to include your manuscript tracking ID.<\/p>\n

    Use of Artificial Intelligence and Other Writing Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n

    IEEE understands that artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including grammar assistants, can reduce the writing burden and increase the productivity of authors when developing a manuscript for submission.\u00a0The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of any article submitted to an IEEE publication. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the article that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content. The use of AI systems for editing and grammar enhancement is common practice and, as such, is generally outside the intent of the above policy. In this case, disclosure as noted above is recommended.\u00a0 An example is to add to the acknowledgment “Grammar in this manuscript was corrected with the assistance of Grammerly.”<\/p>\n

    Authors who plan to assist with the peer review should note that AI tools cannot<\/strong> be used in any way to prepare a review due to violation of review confidentiality.<\/p>\n

    Misuse of AI tools and other misconduct may be subject to IEEE sanctions.<\/p>\n

    Reuse of Content\/Material<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Recycling of material in a new document (previously called “self-plagiarism”, or “reuse”) happens when the material in the new document is identical, or substantively equivalent in both form and content, to that of the source. At times, it may be necessary for authors to recycle portions of their own previously published work, which is treated differently than when an author includes another author\u2019s material.<\/p>\n

    When an author reuses recycled text, charts, photographs, or other graphics from his\/her own previously published material, the author shall:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Adhere to all copyright policies, clearly indicate all recycled material, and provide a full reference to the original publication of the material; and<\/li>\n
    2. If the previously published or submitted material is used as a basis for a new submission, clearly indicate how the new submission differs from the previously published work(s) in the manuscript text (as well as possibly in the cover letter to the editor).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      As has been the publication policy, when an author uses text, charts, or photographs or other graphics from another author\u2019s existing material, the author shall:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Clearly indicate reused material and provide a full reference to the origin (publication, person, etc.) of the material;<\/li>\n
      2.
