Files are reviewed, scanned for viruses and loaded onto the appropriate computers in the session rooms, see below for additional information. <strong>Personal laptops are not permitted for use.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Only material that corresponds to the listing in the published program may be submitted for presentation. Presentation management staff will be instructed to check for discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Using removable media (USB drives) is prohibited on the computers in oral session rooms. Saving data to and from them is not possible.<\/li>\n<li>Files transferred to the session computers cannot be copied by anyone and will be deleted after the Conference. Macintosh computers will not be available in any of the session rooms. Authors using a Macintosh must ensure their presentations operate correctly using Microsoft Office 2021\/2024\/365 or Adobe Acrobat in the Windows environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Presentations should be prepared in <strong>16:9 format<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">All session rooms are equipped with a LCD projector, computer, microphones, laser pointer, timer and screen. The laptops in the oral session rooms are <strong>not<\/strong> equipped to accommodate audio sound.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Contributed<\/strong> presentations at <strong>15 minutes:<\/strong>\u00a0arrange your talk so that your presentation lasts 12 \u2013 13 minutes with 2 \u2013 3 minutes available for questions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Invited<\/strong> presentations might have different durations depending on how the session is organized. Please check the final program as some sessions may have additional time constraints.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Invited<\/strong> presentations at <strong>30<\/strong> minutes: arrange your talk so that your presentation lasts 25 minutes with 5 minutes available for questions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Invited<\/strong> presentation at <strong>20<\/strong> minutes: arrange your talk so that your presentation lasts 16-18 minutes with 2-4 minutes available for questions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If your<strong> invited<\/strong> presentation is scheduled for <strong>15<\/strong> minutes, please follow the contributed oral presentation guidelines above.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Arrive a few minutes before the session and introduce yourself to the session moderators before the start of the session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There will be no rearrangement of presentations within an oral session to accommodate absences or cancellations. The time assigned to an oral presentation within the oral session is fixed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"color: black;\">*Presentation Alternative Uploads (for attendees prohibited from using USB devices):<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WeTransfer will be used for sending\/uploading presentations ONSITE only. WeTransfer is a service that will email\/upload your file to the Conference\u2019s session folder using the internet\/web as a transfer without use of a physical USB drive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please make sure your files are clearly named &#8220;full.author.name_presentationID_presentation-date_version#.pdf) as this will ensure that we can identify your presentation in a quick manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The information for the upload will be provided in the <strong>Speaker Ready Room<\/strong> (<strong>Room 319-321)<\/strong>. Allocate at least one minute to describe the problem clearly enough for the audience to appreciate the value of your contribution.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the audience walks away understanding the five things any listener to a presentation really cares about:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">What is the problem and why?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">What has been done about it?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">What is the presenter doing (or has done) about it?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">What additional value does the presenter\u2019s approach provide?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Where do we go from here?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Fonts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Select a Sans-serif fonts: Arial or Helvetica. Avoid Serif fonts such as Times New Roman: the Serif fonts are more difficult to read.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Select font size to be visible over the whole room. We recommend font 24. Do not use fonts less than 18 points.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Consider font embedding to ensure that characters display properly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Use larger fonts to indicate importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Use different sizes and styles (e.g., bold) for impact. Avoid italicized fonts as these are difficult to read quickly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Avoid long sentences, Avoid abbreviations and acronyms. Limit punctuation marks.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">No more than six lines per slide, and no more than 6-8 words per line.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Do not use all caps except for titles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639761716404{background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639685736956{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1653093687911{padding-bottom: 15px !important;}&#8221;]<strong>Design and Graphical Images<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Include only necessary information: Content should be self-evident.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Keep the background consistent and subtle.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Use one or two large images rather than several small images.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Limit the tables to four rows\/columns for readability.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Charts: The number of curves should be four or less. Label axes, curves and captions clearly using readable letters, font 18 or larger.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Limit the number of colors on a single screen.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Keep the design clean and uncluttered.
