Moderators play an important role in ensuring that technical sessions run smoothly and that presenters and attendees have a positive conference experience.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><strong>Working as a Moderator Team<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each session is assigned two Session Moderators. Together, moderators help ensure sessions begin and end on time, support presenters, facilitate audience interaction, and complete the required Session Moderator Report.<\/p>\n<p>Moderators are encouraged to work together and divide responsibilities in the manner that best supports their assigned session.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><strong>General Responsibilities (All Moderators)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may be assigned to either an <strong>Oral Session<\/strong> or a <strong>Poster Session<\/strong>. Keep control of the session time!<\/li>\n<li>At your discretion, talks may encroach into question time, but then you should defer questions to private discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate audience questions or ask your own questions to encourage participation in Q&amp;A from all speakers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Every presentation must be exactly as scheduled.<\/strong> If a speaker does not show on time for his\/her presentation, the next speaker shall <strong>not<\/strong> begin the presentation until the scheduled time. Moderators may fill the time before the next presentation starts by allowing more questions or initiating discussion on the subject of the session.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>PLEASE!
